EAST VILLAGE RADIO

my love my love my love
streams online
http://www.eastvillageradio.com/shows/nowplaying.aspx?contentid=1256&showid=73740&NowPlaying=1
The best playlists you will ever hear. Before I capped my phone internet radio, I could just put on a EVR playlist and trust that they will be playing the perfect music for whatever time of day. They have amazing guest radio hosts that boast a variety of eclectic hip hop/rock/punk any genre really, you can trust your ears to the always great playlists.
I love that it streams free online, giving me a break from listening to TRIPLE J and FBI radio - which are good stations in their own right, but can be excruciatingly awful. EVR saves me the trouble of trying to flick through the stations to find one that actually plays decent mix playlists.

NEW FIONA APPLE

Oh mon dieu! New Fiona Apple music! Hopefully she will venture out to my parts in the coming years. I would do love to see her live. Personally, I think she is one of the only musicians out there at the moment that hold as much passion and emotion in their performance. She is truly captivating

DANCE WITH ME PLEASE

Band a Part/ Pulp Fiction Tarantino stated that he was inspired by the band a part dance scene for his Pulp Fiction Scene. I love all of these scenes so much.

How did I not know this song existed?

HAIR

a few months ago I dyed the ends of my hair green. It was really fun, and I kinda miss it. Now every chick with coloured hair makes me swoon. I am so BORED

Magic Man

I don't know what it is about this scene of Virgin Suicides. The music.. the way the record crackles at the beginning of the clip.. The way Trip's hair flicks and seductively smirks.
Sofia Coppola was just able to capture teenage infatuations so well in these 2 minutes. Personally, this is probably my most favourite scene in a film.

What the fuck what

Nicholas Kalmakoff

'In 1955, a Russian émigré died alone, unknown and in poverty at the hôpital de Lagny to the north of Paris. After leading a hermit's existence in his small room at the hotel de la Rochefoucault in Paris, this former Russian aristocrat had created a fascinating body of work which, deemed eccentric and worthless, was locked away in storage and forgotten.' - Thanks
